The structure

In a carefully restored ancient farmhouse we find the "Agriturismo IL CHIUSO", situated on a rolling Mugello hill at just 3 kilometers from Vicchio, the land of Giotto and Beato Angelico. Florence is not far off and easily reached by train, bus, or car along a 35 kilometer stretch of enchanting countryside.

The farmhouse, which stands among olive and cypress trees, is made up of 4 apartments, completely furnished in Tuscan style furniture, and they include tableware, a dishwasher, cooking area and laundry room.

The farmhouse is set within a vast garden with two loggias where you can relax while enjoying the fantastic view of the surrounding hills. Not far from the villa we find Bilancino Lake and the Mugello Racing Circuit.

Since 1967 our farm has been producing peaches and extra virgin olive oil. In particular we produce a renowned quality of peach known as the "Regina di Londa".

The rooms

MARGHERITA

The apartment is made up of a bright dining area and kitchen, and two double bedrooms.

It is set on the ground floor facing south, which makes it sunny and bright.

Inside, the slightly different levels in the flooring gives the area an interesting touch.

ANEMONE

The apartment is made up of a sunny living area with a kitchen unit, large double bedroom, a smaller double room and a bathroom.

Through the large patio, this apartment, which is set on the ground floor, offers an excellent view, both in summer and winter, of the surrounding hills.

The double room was once the kitchen of this large farmhouse and is characterized by the lovely ancient stone sink that stands just under the window.

The smaller double room, which is next to the bathroom, faces north. The window frames the lovely mountain crests of the Apennines.

GIUNCHIGLIA

Up along the ancient stone steps we reach the first floor landing.

Here we find the entrance to the Primula and Giunchiglia rooms.

The latter is made up a vast living area that faces south-east, two large double bedrooms, which can also accommodate a third bed each, and a large bathroom that occupies the middle of the apartment.

The first-floor apartments are characterized by the lovely wood beam ceilings as well as the splendid Tuscan period furniture, which also characterize the ground floor rooms.

PRIMULA

The bright and cozy living area that faces south-west, the double bedroom that looks west and has a very characteristic arched window beyond which stands a lovely 17th century church, make this apartment the ideal quarters for a couple that wants to spend an unforgettable stay in the breathtaking beauty of these rolling hills.

The two rooms are separated by a bath with independent heater, like the other rooms.
